Balance – Choice – Change

We are designed to keep ourselves upright against the downward pull of gravity by balancing on our two feet. Often though we are habitually off balance employing undue muscular tension in everything we do. This can result in a variety of aches and pains.

The Alexander Technique provides us with a tool to become consciously aware of habits, which affect our whole organism adversely, and to make new choices of how we want to react to a stimulus.

With the Alexander Technique we are learning – in a very practical way – to change inefficient habits both physical and psychological. By applying the technique to our daily activities we not only become lighter and freer but often our aches and pains are reduced considerably or vanish altogether.
